Lynn's philosophy: "Crawl, Walk, Run".

Crawl: Do you have APRSISCE/32 installed and your initial location set? If so, what is the callsign-SSID that you are using? And are you seeing stations around you?

Walk: Entering in a password so that your position can be visible to others on APRS-IS. Do you have an APRS-IS password for your callsign? If so, enter it in the Password: prompt of Configure / General. If not, send an e-mail to KJ4ERJ AT arrl DOT net with your name and callsign and the request for an APRS-IS password.

Run: Connecting and configuring an RF device, in your case the TH-D72. Starting at Configure / Ports / New Port, the simplest is a KISS port in APRSISCE/32, NOT TCP/IP, select the COMM Port and baud rate and leave all the other settings the same. Open Enables / View Logs / <YourPortName> and enable it to see what's going through the port.

Configuring for PK88 TNC in KISS

Having had a quick look at the manual I think the following should work

<OpenCmd>XFLOW OFF</OpenCmd>
<OpenCmd>FULLDUP OFF</OpenCmd>
<OpenCmd>KISS ON</OpenCmd>
<CloseCmd>TC 1!TS 1</CloseCmd>
<CloseCmd>TN 2,0!TN 2,0</CloseCmd>
